Event Descriptions
Annual Dinner, Meeting, and Elections
Seattle Men in Leather’s anniversary is in mid-March.  SML holds a sit-down dinner for the anniversary, including the club’s monthly general meeting, the installation of officers, the announcement of award recipients and beneficiary, and awarding club colors.
BBQ
During the summer, The Cuff Complex (SML’s home bar) allows us to have a Sunday afternoon BBQ once a month.
Boots ’n’ Buzzcuts
Boots ’n’ Buzzcuts is a twice-a-year (Armed Forces Day in May, Veteran’s Day in November) fundraiser Seattle Men in Leather does at the Cuff Complex.  Barbers and at bootblacks will be available to trim your hair to a regulation length and spit shine your boots, for a recommended donation of $10 per service (benefitting our club charity); please donate more for flat tops, tall boots, and other large tasks.
Daddy’s Leather Tag Sale
In conjunction with Washington State Leather Pride Week, the past Seattle Leather Daddy titleholders and Washington State Mr. & Ms. Leather Association host a Leather Tag Sale during the March Dress Code Leather Social, with the proceeds benefiting the Leather Archives & Museum.
Donations may be made year round.  Contact Daddy Jeff at lthrdaddy@aol.com.
Dress Code Leather Social
Seattle Men in Leather hosts a monthly Dress Code Leather Social at the Cuff Complex.  During the warmer months, the social is held on the Cuff patio.
In March, Daddy’s Leather Tag Sale is also held, sometimes on the same night as the Social, sometimes on the prior Wednesday.  In November, when the 4th Wednesday is the day before Thanksgiving, the Leather Social is merged with the Seattle Leather Daddy and Daddy’s Boy Contest Meet-n-Greet.  In December, due to the proximity to the Christmas holidays, SML hosts a Holiday Social at a private home instead, earlier in the month.
The Dress Code Leather Social is open to everyone, regardless of gender or SML membership.
Leather/fetish attire is requested during the Leather Social.  While SML would love to see everyone decked out in full leather, uniform, rubber, etc., the minimum should be jeans, boots, and an appropriate t-shirt.  No white sneakers or sandals, please.  (Unless you’re in a gladiator outfit, of course!)
Equinox Run Committee
The planning committee for the Equinox leathermen’s weekend (July 20-22, at The Longhouse in Redmond) meets at the Cuff at 7:00 pm.  For more info, contact the committee chair.
Father’s Day Chili Feed
Seattle Men in Leather hosts a Chili Feed on the Cuff Complex’s patio on the afternoon of Father’s Day (3rd Sunday of June.)

Holiday Social
In December, due to the proximity to the Christmas holidays, SML hosts a Holiday Social at a private home instead of the usual Dress Code Social, usually on the first Saturday of the month.  Dress Code (if any) and attendance by non-SML members is up to the event host.  About 60 people attended each year.

July 4th BBQ
In years past, Seattle Men in Leather has had a BBQ and fireworks viewing party, hosted at a member’s private home.  Attendance by non-SML members is up to the event host.  About 25 people usually attend.

Leather Meets Country
For the Friday of Washington State Leather Pride Week, Rain Country hosts a leather night for their country-western dancing, including couples and line dance lessons with BDSM/leather themes, a Tush Push contest, and a fundraiser for SML’s charity of the year.
Monthly Brunch
Seattle Men in Leather hosts a monthly brunch on the 3rd Sunday of the month; the location varies.  Brunch starts at 11:00am, and everyone is welcome to attend.
Pictures with Santa
The second weekend of December, SML holds its annual Pictures with Santa fundraiser.  For $5, get you pictures taken on the lap of a hunky Santa or lusty Ms. Santa.
Pool Party
A couple times a year, SML members who have access to a private swimming pool host clothing-optional pool parties.  Attendance by non-SML members is up to the event host; men-only, of course.  About 30 people usually attend.

Pride Parade Leather Contingent
Seattle Men in Leather typically participates in the Leather Contingent in the Seattle Pride Parade the last weekend of June.
SML Dines Out
Seattle Men in Leather periodically (more or less quarterly) has an evening dinner outing to a local restaurant.  These are “no reservation” events.  Attendees are encouraged to wear leather (etc.) attire.
SML Educational Forum
The Seattle Men in Leather Education Committee periodically organizes panel discussions and other education sessions applicable to the general leather community, in addition to the men-only Tribal Instinct sessions.  The time and location of these Education Forum events varies, and they are generally open to all genders.
